A restful long week-end at a Ongarue farm. We chose shearing time, when the schedule is even more hectic and working days are long. My contribution was helping to move sheep from field to paddock to shed and back again. My unsubstantial sailing wellies are no good on the farm, offering little grip and no protection, so two partings of the ways between me and the trail bike, a couple of slides on my backside down the slopes and sheep jumping on my feet left a few bruises.
Another weekend in Ongarue, this time to see the new pets (yes pets, not for profit). Five Alpacas, situated in the field next to the farmhouse.
